Merry Christmas!

Greetings from Adelaide

During a shopping expedition to the city centre I took some 'Christmas in Adelaide' pictures.

From the geographic centre of the city, the Victoria Square Christmas tree looking down King William Street with the clock towers of the Post Office and further down the Town Hall. (Read the plaque as I walked past the Post Office tower, the foundation stone laid by the previous Duke of Edinburgh (not the Queen's husband) in 1867.)

The Town Hall, all decorated for Christmas.

Regent's Arcade, which began life as a very ornate cinema, the Regent.

The Adelaide Arcade, one of the oldest shopping areas of the city centre, it was all restored to its former glory years ago. The Haigh's chocolate shop, an Adelaide chocolatier.

A nutcracker at the entrance of a department store.

One of the trees dotted around Rundle Mall.
